Alberta Summer Games


Alberta Summer Games are coming to the GELC!

The Alberta Summer Games (ASG) bring together the province’s top U15 athletes for a multi-sport event celebrating athletic excellence, teamwork, and community.
Athletes selected to participate in ASG will represent their zone, compete at a high level, and experience a unique, high-performance event designed to showcase Alberta’s best emerging talent

For the first time in Alberta Summer Games history, ASG will proudly feature a Female Lacrosse Division, providing female athletes the opportunity to compete on a province-wide stage, represent their zone, and be part of a historic milestone for lacrosse in Alberta

Who Can Try Out?

Athletes must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Born in 2012 or 2013 (U15 eligible)

  • Reside within Zone 5 (Blackgold) or Zone 6 (Edmonton)

  • Be registered for the 2026 box lacrosse season with their home club

  • Attend scheduled try-outs

Both a U15 Co-ed Team and a U15 Female Team will be selected, with the Female Team marking the first-ever Female Lacrosse Division at the Alberta Summer Games.

Selection & Commitment

Athletes selected to represent their zone must commit to the following:

  • Attend all scheduled team practices and preparation sessions

  • Comply with Team Alberta policies and Safe Sport standards

  • Be available to participate in the 2026 Alberta Summer Games, hosted in Strathcona County from July 16-19, 2026

Zone 5 and Zone 6 teams are supported by the Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council, in partnership with the Alberta Lacrosse Association.
